Research and Development

The R & D is divided into:
a) R & D Laboratory
b) Library
c) CAD Center (Computer Aided Design Center)
d) Engineers software development area

     a) Laboratory:  The laboratory is equipped with latest test equipments such as oscilloscopes, Logic Development Systems, Function Generators, Multimeters, Waveform capturing units, Microprocessor Development systems, Programmers and erasers, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Temperature calibrators, Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes with standard serial Bus analysers line such as RS 232, can bus  I²C etc.The Laboratory is equipped with latest soldering\de-soldering stations with SMD facilities to assemble the prototype hardware.  The Lab work benches are equipped with anti-static handling facilities with appropriate grounding arrangement.  The R&D laboratory has all the facilities to work on a hardware prototyping & testing of any complex & advanced processor based systems.

    b) Library:  R & D Center has a library where all latest text books and periodicals are arranged for easy reference of engineers.  The library has design and application records for past 25 years for ready reference.  Round the clock internet facility is provided for getting the latest available technical information & catalogues for Design reference.

   c) CAD Center:  The computerized aided design center has the latest CADSTAR software to work on multiplayer pcb’s upto 32 layers with facilities to conduct thermal analysis & EMI\EMC protection analysis.  The ORCAD software of cadence is positioned for schematic capturing.  The AutoCAD latest software is available for mechanical design and evaluation.  The cad center of   EM R & D is capable to provide complete support for multiplayer PCB design & mechanical design of the prototypes.

    d) Software Development section:  This section is provided with the latest 8 bit & 16 bit development tool suited for INTEL, ATMEL, PHILLIPS.  A 16 bit development tool suite for 80196 & related processor is also available.  A microchip PIC development tool enables R & D engineers to work on the latest PIC processors.

Embedded systems:

The R & D is also geared up with 32 bit arm tool suit consisting of compiler, emulator, debugger & programmer.  Latest facilities to work on CAN bus are available to bring out innovative industrial automobile systems & designs. The R & D engineers are also conversant with FPGA developmental facilities for XILINX devices. All the R & D engineers are trained to work on the latest technologies to provide the innovative import substitutions to save valuable foreign exchange for the nation.  In the past, our R & D has provided complete indigenous solutions for Thermal power plants\nuclear power plants, automobile electronics, and industrial automation by bringing on latest technology designs.

Power Electronics:

EMEPL provides complete range of Ruggedised Linear DC Regulated Power Supplies with extremely high Reliability. These LPSU’s are designed with excellent Load & Line Regulation & extremely Low Ripple contains making them highly suitable for Low noise Signal Processing Systems / Defense Systems / Communication Systems etc.

These LPSU’s have successfully undergone JSS 55555 tests & are manufactured using very high reliability LCSO/MIL/CACT Approved components. These units meet EMI/EMC standards to MIL 461E specifications.

The company provides number of custom-built solutions in Power Electronics such as LT & HT Power Supplies, DC/DC Convertors, Programmable Power Supplies, Multi-output Power Supplies, Battery Charges etc.
